Concert Night…..Kem

It’s concert night and like any special occasion night out, the hair has to step out too.
I had in a wash and go yesterday with Jane Carters Solution and I personally never layer styling items. With that in mind and I am trial a erroring today.
I stretched my hair just a bit with a cool blow dry and made 4 big twists and went to sleep. Now up, I sectioned in small sections and rubbed Jane Carter Solution into my hands and stroked in a down motion root to tip. Apply products in the direction of the hair shaft. On the tips I spritz a leave in conditioner and sealed with my shea whip. I twisted into bantu knots.
With argon oil, I took the hair down and separated the upper portions of the twist but not to the ends. Hair held well. At least until a hot flash or 3 hit, crowed concert and the theater is near the river. Humidity fluffed my hair. It got bigger and less defined as the hours went. Jane Carter works better for me at a wash and go product and short term styling.
The photo in the restaurant shows shone and definition. That last is the end of the evening….fuller. Shiny still but fuller and less defined.
I spritz with water/conditioner mix and smoothed in my shea whip and retwisted for bed.
Wash and Go Look

I stated in the past that I’d post wash and go photos. This styling or lack of styling as it is a literal wash and go….out the door. This hair has dried over a couple of hours.
Routine was wash with Hello Hydration 2 and 1, condition with VO5 Kiwi Lime, detangled with a shower comb, rinse, dried with clean t-shirt, applied argon oil and last Jane Carters Solution Curl Defining Cream.
The close up shows my texture but also shows how Jane Carter gives shine. By far a great wash and go product.
The last photo shows my length and yes wash and go’s show the natural curl and curly hair is shorter in appearance then straight hair. Embrace what your hair does. What we are doing is embracing what is natural.
Wash and Go with Jane Carter

I am not a big fan of the wash and goes….initially. When its wet or damp, my hair hangs and it’s evident where my hair grows more and where it grows less. I have length in the back and crown and my bang area stays the shortest. Anyway, trying not to use heat and dry naturally, I have to wait for it to dry and get it’s thicker fro shape. I love the wilder natural look.
What I do not like is the feeling of Eco on wet hair. It also takes longer to dry. I love Eco as sleek styling product on my edges.
I recently purchased Jane Carter Solution Curl Defining Cream and used it on a twist out. I did not get that wavy set like with Taliah Waajid or Ms Jessies. It left my hair soft.
One of the things I don’t like about some YouTubers is when they do a review on a product but do not review by the directions on the product. Give it a chance based on how the company said use it.
So this review is on the Curl Defining Cream on a Wash and Go by the jars directions.
I did a co-wash with Suave Kiwi Lime Clarifying Conditioner. Followed with argon oil and then sectioning and applying the cream in a down motion from root to tip all over. I shook it and let it dry. I wanted to wear it out so I put it all up in a satin scrunchy and when ready to go I pulled it out and pulled hair where I needed to shape it up.
Today, it rained and I had no issue getting wet. It looks wild and cute. I will do this again this week and post pictures. Because it rained, it is wilder and lacking the shiny curls it had to show best results. Hair is soft.
Why to I mention when hair is soft……It’s more pliable, less likely to break. One of the keys for keeping the length is being gentle with your hair. Keep it moist and pliable. Avoid drying styles or conditions.
